Dr. Day is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He completed his internship at the University of Texas and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago. He completed his fellowship in glaucoma at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco.

Dr. Day is a member of the Robert N. Shaffer Glaucoma Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is involved in extensive clinical research at Omni Eye Services, and has published numerous papers on new medications and advances in glaucoma.  He serves as Director of the Glaucoma Service at Omni Eye Services, currently one of the largest and well-known glaucoma practices in the Southeast.
