Dr. Woodard earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio and his residency at the renowned Scheie Eye Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Woodard completed his Fellowship in Cornea and External Eye Disease and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Woodard joined Omni Eye Services from SureVision Eye Institute in Columbus, Georgia where he served as Medical Director. He specializes in small incision Cataract surgery and Corneal Surgery, as well as diseases of the cornea and anterior segment.  He is on the board of the Eddie Robinson Foundation, a charitable organization for college athletes.

He is a well known speaker on topics related to advanced cataract and corneal surgery and lens implant technology.
