Aditi Bellur grew up in Marietta, GA and attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies majoring in bioengineering during which time she also worked in a research laboratory focusing on regenerative medicine. While raising guide dogs as a part of the Guide Dog Foundation she found her passion for eye care. She developed her love for optometry while shadowing and working as a technician, as well as interning at X - Cel Specialty Contacts.
Aditi went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry degree at the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2022. During her graduate studies, she was elected class president and was actively engaged in the American Optometric Student Association and Lions Club. She also tutored students and participated in vision screenings around the island of Puerto Rico. She pursued research at IAUPR as well, focusing on the current trends in myopia. During her time in Puerto Rico, Dr. Bellur learned Spanish and is now able to provide complete exams in the language.
Dr. Bellur played a key role in organizing the student body and was presented with an award recognizing her commitment to her fellow students, health care, and the school.
Dr. Bellur believes in comprehensive and superior eye care for all patients and highlights equality of access to care in her practice. After completing one of her student rotations at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, Aditi is extremely humbled to return for her residency to expand her expertise in Ocular Disease and provide exceptional eye care for her patients.
