Dr. Cynthia Noorani grew up in Boynton Beach, FL. She attended Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Health and Wellness and was the founder of Stony Brook University’s Pre-Optometry Club. After shadowing and working for her childhood optometrist as a technician, she developed her passion for optometry.
She went on to pursue a dual degree at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry and Masters in Public Health in 2021. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Noorani kept various leadership roles at her school including founding the school’s first Contact Lens Club, President of the Gold Key International Honor Society, Vice President of the Private Practice Club and was a Student Ambassador for Bausch and Lomb.
She was honored to have been awarded the President’s Commitment to Diversity Award by MCPHS as well as the VSP/AAOF Practice Excellence Scholarship.
Dr. Noorani believes in quality care for all patients and emphasizes the importance of cultural competency in her practice. After completing one of her student rotations at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, Dr. Noorani is extremely humbled to return for her residency to expand her expertise in Ocular Disease and provide excellent eye care for her patients.
