Dr. Zaid Aljabi is from Birmingham, AL. He completed his Bachelor of Arts & Sciences Degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then went to achieve his Doctor of Optometry Degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2020.
During his graduate studies, Dr. Aljabi was an active member of several organizations. He attended two international trips to Panama and Belize with Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and provided comprehensive eye care with his teams to the underserved communities in those countries.
He also volunteered through the same organization, with Remote Area Medical (RAM), to provide free eyecare in the suburb cities of Tennessee. He received his Student Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and was a student bowl participant at their annual academic challenge.
He received the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) influencer award, was granted membership of its leadership society, and was a student advocate through the American Optometric Association (AOA). He was also recognized in achieving the Ocular Instruments Award for Excellence with Lenses in the study of ocular disease. His externship experiences were at Pelham Eye Care and Simon-Williamson Clinic in Birmingham and Omni Eye Services in Atlanta.
Dr. Aljabi is humbled and privileged in expanding his clinical expertise at Omni Eye Services, and providing exemplary eyecare with his team to the patients of Atlanta.
