Dr. Mahsa Masoudi grew up in Marietta, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. After making the change from pursuing law school to a health profession, she obtained her second Bachelor’s in Science from Portland State University. There she was the Pre-Optometry Club President and also a member of the NC3 competitive rock climbing team where she was ranked the 15th top female in the tri-state area.
During her graduate studies at the University of California Berkeley, Dr. Masoudi was heavily involved in all areas of advocacy and leadership. She was appointed as the student member of the Berkeley faculty search committee, California Optometric Association (COA) Student Delegate all four years, American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) Trustee, Gold Key Honor Society President, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association National Liaison, and the American Optometric Association (AOA) Contact Lens & Cornea Section National Liaison.
She was appointed to the AOA Education Center Committee in 2019, for which she continues to serve today. She has won several awards including the Berkeley Optometry Ambassador of the Year, the Bay Area Optometric Council Leadership Award, the COA Young Advocate Award, the AOSA Trustee of the Year, and the Rick Bay Foundation Student Innovator Award.
Dr. Masoudi is thrilled to have matched this residency back in her hometown as a member of the Omni Eye Services team. She is grateful to further her ocular disease education while providing excellence in eyecare to patients of the Atlanta area.
