
Dr. Emely M. Soto was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Educational and Policy Practice from Mount Holyoke College, then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry (NECO).
Dr. Soto completed her fourth-year externship rotations at Dorchester House Community Health Center in Boston, MA; Brockton VA Medical Center in Brockton, MA; Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, GA; and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. These diverse clinical experiences provided her with a solid foundation in community-based optometry, advanced ocular disease management, and pediatric eye care with a particular emphasis on serving multicultural and underserved populations.
During optometry school, she was actively involved in organizations such as the National Optometric Student Association, American Optometric Student Association, American Academy of Optometry, and Black EyeCare Perspective, as well as other student-led organizations.
Dr. Soto is excited to join Omni Eye Services and is passionate about delivering patient-centered care. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best vision and eye health.
