Diplomate, American Board of Optometry
Dr. Niloufar Soltanian graduated as part of the Chancellor’s honors program and with the academic distinction of Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BS in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology.
She continued her studies at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating class of 2013, during which time she was on the board of the Multicultural Association and an active member of the Private Practice Club and Contact Lens Society. During her fourth year rotations, she completed externships at a private practice, a VA hospital, and a multidisciplinary practice, all of which encouraged her to pursue a residency in ocular disease.
She successfully completed her Ocular Disease Residency in July of 2014 and joined the Omni Staff full time as a staff optometrist specializing in ocular disease and pre-and post-operative management of surgical patients. She was instrumental in orchestrating Omni’s successful conversion to Electronic Medical Records in 2014, and oversees the student and resident program at Omni along with Dr. Ajamian. She is an adjunct clinical faculty member at 14 schools and colleges of optometry. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry, and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Soltanian is a member of the American Optometric Associate, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. She currently serves as the President of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, and is part of Leadership GOA and the Young Women in Optometry Organization in Georgia.
