Paolo Giuliari, M.D.

Dr. Paolo Giuliari was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Dr. Elías Santana Hospital followed by a two-year fellowship in the medical and surgical management of diseases of the retina and vitreous at the Valley Retina Institute (VRI) in McAllen, Texas.  He was then accepted into the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Institute’s Ocular Immunology and Uveitis fellowship with renowned expert Dr. C. Stephen Foster, and subsequently completed additional training in Ocular Oncology and Pathology at the University of Toronto. He practiced in Venezuela for several years, where he worked in both a private clinic and in an academic setting at Domingo Luciani Hospital as an assistant professor. Upon his return to the United States he completed his second Ophthalmology residency at Indiana University.  He was then recruited by the Cincinnati Eye Institute where he saw patients for 4 years and also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. He is happy to be part of the Omni Eye Services team of doctors serving Optometry for over 40 years.
