Patrick J. Danaher, MD  is a board certified ophthalmologist with a diverse background in aeronautical engineering, military service, and advanced medical research. He began his academic journey at the United States Air Force Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering (1988-1992), followed by a Master of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University (1992-1993). Dr. Danaher then pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine, graduating in 2006.

Dr. Danaher’s military career began as an F-16 pilot and aeronautical engineer, followed by extensive work in aerospace research. He later shifted his focus to medicine, completing a transitional internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago and an ophthalmology residency at UC San Diego’s Shiley Eye Center.

From 2010 to 2022, Dr. Danaher was a key member of Cataract Consultants, Inc. in Pittsburgh, where he performed many specialty lens cataract surgeries and glaucoma treatments. With a strong emphasis on innovative surgical techniques such as laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium IOLs and MIGS, he became a highly respected figure in his field. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
